External influences include, among others:
- Ambient temperature
- Rain
- Water vapor, or accumulation of water
- Presence of corrosive, contaminating or other chemical substances
- Mechanical stresses (e.g. sharp edges of metal structures)
- Animal world (e.g. rodents)
- Plant life / fungi (e.g. molds)
- Radiation (e.g. sunlight)
Note: In this context, it should be noted that the color is of great importance, and the color “black” offers greater protection against radiation than other colors.
