Flexible Data Cables

Data cables are used for the trouble-free transmission of signals. The small currents can be protected by aluminium coated PETP-foils, copper braidings and/or wrappings to 100 % coverage. The signal decoupling is additionally achieved by pairwise twisted cores. Flexible data cables from SAB are used for the transmission of measuring, control and voice signals in electronic control appliances or in switchboards.

Data cables have become indispensable, especially in the information age and the constantly growing amount of data that needs to be transmitted, and must be constantly adapted to the latest technical developments. In conjunction with miniaturised devices, modern electrical engineering demands data cables for moving applications with small bending radii, cross-sections, the best shielding technology and maximum flexibility.

Thanks to over 75 years of experience in cable manufacturing, SAB can fulfil all these requirements to the highest degree with the latest generation of data cables. Different shielding techniques are used, i.e. single or double shielded cables covered or braided with tinned round copper wires protect them from external, high-frequency interference. Different stranding structures can reduce mutual interference between neighbouring cable circuits.

Especially in the computer era data cables have become essential and they must continously to the latest technical developments. The colour code with reference to DIN 47100 guarantees a perfect assignment of the cores for the connection of the cable. The cables are produced with reference to the usual DIN VDE regulations.
