Application
Bayonet RTD sensors (bayonet resistance thermometers,) with protective sleeve are used in industrial process measurement, particularly for temperature monitoring on tools and machines in the plastics processing industry. As bayonet probe with Pt100, Pt500, or Pt1000 sensors, they provide precise and long term stable temperature measurement under demanding production conditions.
The bayonet locking system with threaded spring ensures secure mounting and a constant contact pressure at the measuring point. A rotatable bayonet cap allows immersion depth and mounting length to be adjusted to the specific application, which is essential for reproducible measurement results. Depending on the installation requirements, the sensors are available with a flat, angled, or spherical measuring tip.
The design of these bayonet sensors can be individually configured, for example with regard to sensor type, accuracy class A or B, connection type on iner wire, spring length, diameter, and tip geometry. Robust connection cables with stainless steel wire braiding provide mechanical protection, while freely selectable cable lengths and various connection ends or connectors ensure reliable integration into existing measurement and control systems.
These bayonet sensors, for example with flat measuring tip and protective sleeve, are ideally suited for precise, robust, and application-optimised temperature measurement in machine and plant engineering.

- Individual parameters, e. g. connection cable, spring length, double resistance thermometer in 3-or 4- wire circuit, cable end or higher temperature resistance can be added or modified on request.
- With a 2-wire circuit only one class accuracy class B accuracy can be confirmed.
- In addition to bayonet resistance sensors, bayonet thermocouples of type K and type J are also available for the plastics processing industry.
